Bloodstock confirm 5 killer bands for 2016

Bloodstock 2016

With an already blistering line up confirmed for 2016, Bloodstock Festival have come up trumps with five more beasts added to the bill. Joining headliners Slayer, Mastodon and Twisted Sister will be a quintet of diverse metal, ranging from southern groove through metalcore via dementia and the blackened arts.

Bolstering the Bloodstock schedule for 2016 will be

Corrosion Of Conformity – With Pepper Keenan back in the fold, the COC boys have been tearing up stages since they reunited for a run of ‘Deliverance’ Anniversary shows. Miss this at your peril or be a lonesome albatross cleaning your wounds.

Unearth Official – The Boston bruisers will literally rip your teeth out through your anus with their unique ferocity. This will be incendiary.

Ghost Bath – The American black metal outfit will be making their first ever UK appearance on the Ronnie James Dio stage. This has the prospect of being one of those “I was there” performances.

Evil Scarecrow – The Nottingham nutters make their triumphant return only 2 years since leading the entire arena on a merry midday dance. Expect scuttling crabs, roboting robots, one-eyed waltzing cyclopes and possibly one or two more tricks from their slightly unhinged arsenal.

XII Boar – Rumour has it that back in 2013 XII Boar smashed the granny out of the festival. In 2016, grannies are still welcome and these southern rock n’ rollers promise to bring their strip worthy anthems in spades to the SOPHIE Stage. Let’s hope they live up to their promise.

So there you have it. Bloodstock Festival takes place at Catton Hall from August 11-14
