BRING ME THE HORIZON Release Collectors Boxset 24th November 2014

Bring Me The Horizon
Bring Me The Horizon

From their musical birth as metalcore teenagers in Sheffield to gaining a global fanbase, Bring Me The Horizon have never been a predictable entity. Their recent collaboration with BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe on the re-score of Drive and their upcoming sell out headline show at Wembley Arena on December 5th are just two examples of a band forging a path untrodden by a traditional metal band.

In recognition of this they have pulled together the first of a deluxe range of reissues with original cover art designed and produced by Oli Sykes himself. The limited edition vinyl box set covers their debut release, This is What the Edge of Your Seat Was Made For EP from 2006, moving through to the band’s album releases, Count Your Blessings (’06), Suicide Season (’08), which included remixes from Sonny Moore aka Skrillex well before he had reached the heights of his electronica career, and There is a Hell Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is A Heaven, Let’s Keep It A Secret (’10).

The release of the band’s third album, There is a Hell…, marked the beginning of the band’s true evolution into what they are today; True groundbreakers that continue to pave the way and open more doors for the alternative music scene.

The Press on Bring me the Horizon:

SUICIDE SEASON:

“…… they’ve managed to create something which is both incessantly brutal and disarmingly catchy without throwing in predictable hooks… Being told to go fuck yourself never sounded so good. KKKK” –  Kerrang!

“BMTH’s furious second album… will place them at the forefront of the metalcore scene. 5*” – Q

“No band in Britain can match the beatdowns that pepper this album. Suicide Season proves that maybe we were a little too quick to dismiss the potential that the band possess after all. 7/10”– Metal Hammer

“One of the best metal albums to be released in 08… 8/10”– Rock Sound

THERE IS A HELL:

“This album has many different shades and it is these contrasts that make it so vital. It’s an album that bursts with ambition, and that Bring Me The Horizon pull it off so powerfully further confirms their greatness.”  Kerrang!

“Bring Me the Horizon today stand at the very vanguard of the UK metal scene. This third album takes risks with confidence, and the end results are never less than startling.” – BBC Music

“…. firmly established BMTH as one of the UK’s finest metal bands… this time around the quintet are walking down a far darker, more personal path, and have created something dynamic, exhilatating, and quite unlike anything else out there right now. KKKKK” – Kerrang!

“By far the most accomplished record BMTH have produced to date, unburdened by preconceptions and allowing for an element of genuine surprise… it is the sound of a remarkable band establishing themselves as one of the finest of their generation. 9/10” – Rock Sound

“…. one of the heaviest, most aggressive and best metal releases of the year. The anthemic musicality is as instantly striking. 9/10” – Metal Hammer
