Brothers Born is a newly announced indie-folk rock band from Easthampton, MA that features Killswitch Engage guitarist Joel Stroetzel and folk singer-songwriter Michael Wyzik. Influenced by acts like Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Longwave and The Church, the pair’s new project is far removed from anything either have done before.
Knife Wounds boasts eleven stellar tracks that blend and blur genres from the pop-infused, rock stylings of “Parachute” to the newly released, soulful indie rock title track.
“”Knife Wounds” is one of the first songs Mike and I recorded together,” says Stroetzel. “We decided it should be the title track as it seemed to be a good representation of the overall lyrical and musical vibe of the record.”
Brothers Born will be performing an album release show at The Iron Horse in Northampton, MA on February 27th and will announce additional dates soon. Follow Brothers Born at https://www.facebook.com/brothersbornmusic for more information.
