Summary:

A great live album that's finally being released on CD

In October last year, Eagle Rock released the classic Bryan Adams video from his 1996 Wembley concert on DVD for the first time.  Now they’re following up with a CD release.  That’s good news for fans as I suspect many people are like me in that we listen to music a lot, but watch concert DVDs less frequently.

As with the DVD release, the sound quality is excellent, and the show recorded on 27th July 1996, at Wembley stadium saw him play a set packed with hits in front of a crowd of over 70,000 fans.   For his hit “It’s only love” he gets Melissa Etheridge to join him and they do a great version of it.  Songs like “Summer of 69” get the crowd singing along, and songs such as his smash hit “(Everything I do) I do it for you” sound great performed live.  Along with over twenty of his own songs, Bryan Adams did a couple of great covers – “Wild Thing” (The Troggs), and “I fought the law” (The Clash)

It’s a great live album, and I’m likely to be listening to this a lot in future.
