Crewe based pop punkers Chasing The Fall, crash back in with their latest single ‘Black And Blue’, recently played on BBC Radio 1, taken from recently released four track debut EP, Game Face.
It’s one of their heavier songs musically and also the songs subject matter about a failed relationship, point proven by their quote of, “This song is our anthem for anyone negotiating the ups and downs of post break-up emotions. It’s about the way we act like we’re okay when we’re not okay, pretending to see life in full colour, when really it has all drained away from us”.
My take on the song is it’s a vocal tour de force that bellows around sugar sweet choruses, bass guitar bombast, wrist snapping snare work and riff after riff, after motherfu**ing riff!
