About

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Back in 2004 PlanetMosh started out as an online metal radio station for the highly popular online gaming website – Wolfstuff.org.

The station was originally intended for entertaining Wolfstuff members at weekends during community matches and the occasional broadcasting of tournament matches. However, the radio station became vastly popular requiring a larger space for it’s listeners, resulting in the birth of PlanetMosh.com.

As it’s popularity rose, each weekend the programme used a different theme – Iron Maiden VS Metallica being the prominent of the set.

Between 2005 and 2008 PlanetMosh had an uncertain future due to the absence of it’s founding members – Saxon and Metallikid. With their return in 2008 PlanetMosh had a new lease of life restarting the radio station and broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Metal news, tabs, interviews, reviews, downloads and many other features were gradually added  to the site, expanding it from an online metal radio to an online metal community.

Early in 2009 PlanetMosh opened their doors to unsigned bands, creating a separate radio station to broadcast their music and a Free Music section for albums and songs. It was around this time that PlanetMosh revamped the website and introduced a new logo created by their very own graphic designer – Stalfos.

The team has since continued to improve, expand and add new features including their very own TV, showing videos such as those filmed from the UK’s number 1 metal festival – Bloodstock Open Air, which we would like to cover with other metal festivals.

May 10th 2010 ( one minutes silence) saw the complete obliteration of planetmosh website, database, radio station and all of the backups when our server died a complete and devastating death. Five years worth of work by the planetmosh team died with it.

Defending the Faith, holding our banners high, fighting the good fight … insert your own cliche here .. Planetmosh carries on.

The site that you see now and the crew of Planetmosh do not yet span the globe, although we are working on that.

We play music from and interview signed and unsigned bands, so.. if you are a band trying to be heard or a record label that wants your artists to be heard, send us your CD’s, we will be happy to give them airtime and even review or interview them.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
