Following a successful UK tour with The Word Alive and I See Stars and the release of their debut self titled album in the tail end of last year, Calfornia’s Dayshell have announced they will be returning to the UK as main support for Halestorm this April.
Dayshell are also pleased to announce the addition of guitarist Tyler Shippy as an official full time member of the band.
From Tyler:
“We’re very excited and humbled to be main support for Halestorm. I love the UK, I love Europe. It’s gonna be a great atmosphere and full of incredible memories for fans as well as ourselves. Hoping to meet a lot of new faces. Let’s rock!”
“I can’t express my gratitude and happiness enough in regards to being a part of this band. I’ve been touring with them for a year and since day one it’s had my full attention and dedication. Being able to call this dynamic monster a part of my own brings out a whole new sense of pride and belonging within myself and in turn I see myself as another piece of the puzzle that make and encompass everything Dayshell stands for. This is my life. The guys in this band are my best friends and my family and fuck am I honored to be in this.”
Dayshell bring a fusion of warm melodies, gnashing spacey guitars and heavy rhythms that cut through the fog of a saturated market and leave us all with hope and excitement.

“2014 should be the year that this new band really make their mark. You need Dayshell in your life” – Big Cheese Magazine
“An impressively bold debut” – Kerrang!
‘Dayshell’ is the work of Shayley “Dayshell” Bourget who after three years and two seminal records of playing and singing clean vocals for ‘Of Mice And Men’ decided to leave the band to the shock of fans everywhere.
After later receiving a call from old friend and drummer Raul Matinez, they decided to jam before soon adding bassist Jordan Wooley to the fold. The trio tapped into something kinetic and ‘Dayshell’ was born.
“I want to push boundaries,” explains Shayley. “This is our own style. It might be heavy at the forefront, but there’s beauty behind that. It encompasses all of my influences from Deftones and Led Zeppelin to Incubus and Enya. I like to call it ‘Fresh Metal’.”
