Deadly Inscription – Substance (E.P)

Deadly Inscription are a four piece Glasgow based metal band.  Having headlined and played their way through venues including, Glasgow Barrowlands, Manchester Academy and the Paisley Wynd they have finally brought out a new e.p to spread their unique brand of technical metalcore further a field.

”One Against The World” starts the e.p off in fine form with its mix of early Megadeth influences merged with Parkway Drive.

“Substance” starts of with a long instrumental segment which really demonstrates the technical elements of the band before the vocals kick in.  The early 90s thrash influences really shine through in this track.

“Woke Up Dead” is a brutal, destructive, straight to the point metalcore track and is guaranteed to cause mosh pits wherever it is played.

Final track “Gather All Your Friends Together” is a more thrash orientated song and charges straight into Mustaine territory before the metalcore elements take over.

Overall a promising e.p filled full of brutal, technical metalcore from this young and upandcoming band.  I look forward to hearing more from them in the future.

The Highlight of this destructive e.p: “Substance.”
