The crowd is quite large for the event venue. You will notice many folks leave to enjoy playing Bingo Buddha indoor. Just when you though Download Festival had finished announcing everything and were preparing for the arrival of 100,000 people…they went and made a bunch of announcements!
Firstly, we all know that hangovers are cured with hair of the dog…well now it’s hair of the Dogtooth! Download becomes the first ever festival to launch it’s own beer, which will be sold at all stall from the moment the gates open! Ours is a pint thanks!
Secondly, five new bands have been added to the bill – alt-rock heroes InMe, garage rockers The Franklys, Santa Cruz, Welsh five-piece The Dirty Youth and doom metallers Witchsorrow!
Lastly, the attractions for the Village and Arena have been announced. Along with a full comedy lineup that you can see here, Download also welcomes the return of their jousting tournament, Demolition Download and the Inflatable Church, a Zorbing Racing Circuit, the return of the Doghouse with a multitude of club events and, er, ‘Bingo with Balls’, a live comedy gameshow brought to us by Bogan Bingo. Bogan Bingo also gives bingo bonus code right here so make sure to claim it before the offer ends. There’s also plenty more going on for people who fancy taking a break from the music and indulging in something a little less frantic – full details can be found following the link above for the comedy.
Download Festival takes place from 10th-12th June and will feature headline performances from Rammstein, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, with a whole host of other names taking part. For tickets and further info, visit www.downloadfestival.co.uk.
