Multinational melodic metal band Eden’s Curse are close to completing the writing phase on their as-yet-untitled fifth studio album, which will be released Autumn 2016 by German label AFM Records. The follow up to 2013’s critically acclaimed Symphony Of Sin will once again see the band’s long term mixing engineer Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69, Unisonic) behind the controls.
“With every new album we take a step forward and the fifth album is no different,” declares bassist Paul Logue. “The band are very excited by the new song ideas and this record definitely has it’s own personality with our most progressive collection of songs yet. As always, it’s 100% Eden’s Curse,” he adds.
The studio recordings will be the first to feature the band’s new drummer John Clelland (Code Of Silence, The Crows) and will include song titles such as “Jericho”, “Find My Way”, “Rome’s On Fire”, “This Is Our Moment” and “Messiah Complex” to name but a few.
Fronted by Serbian powerhouse vocalist Nikola Mijic and MelodicRock.com’s 2013 Guitarist of the Year, German virtuoso Thorsten Koehne, Eden’s Curse also features founding member and principle songwriter Paul Logue on bass, drummer John Clelland (Code Of Silence) and esteemed keyboarder, the brain child of Power Quest and formerly Dragonforce, Steve Williams. With the 5 piece stronger than ever, Eden’s Curse’s latest studio album Symphony Of Sin has been another triumph for the band.
In May 2014 the band undertook their debut headline club tour of the UK in support of the album Symphony Of Sin. Their seven date run culminated in a spectacular closing show at The Underworld in London; receiving praise from the press, media and fans alike. The outstanding reviews prompted the bands label, AFM Records, to propose the recording of the groups debut live album, which was recorded in Glasgow to a full capacity audience. At over 100 mins, 18 songs, covering all four studio records and spanning two CD’s, Live With The Curse is the perfect introduction to the music of Eden’s Curse. It’s sonic dynamite production, by the bands long time engineer, Pink Cream 69 and Unisonic bassist, Dennis Ward (Ten, Allen/Lande, Angra, Krokus) and iconic artwork by Thomas Ewerhard (Avantasia, Edguy, Jorn) demonstrate the high quality output we’ve come to expect from Eden’s Curse.
Eden’s Curse are delighted to learn that the video for the lead single from the Symphony Of Sin album “Evil and Divine” has exceeded 100,000 plays on You Tube. To celebrate the milestone the band’s label AFM Records has released a live video of the song, recorded during the “Live With The Curse” album recording show at The Classic Grand in Glasgow last year.
