One of music’s most celebrated aspects is its ability to transcend boundaries, to move beyond the everyday and into the extraordinary. Nowhere is this more apparent than with multinational progressive outfit Empty Yard Experiment (E.Y.E.) and their second album Kallisti, scheduled for international release on September 29.
Have a sneak peek of Kallisti with the video for God Has His Reasons:
Although formed and based in Dubai, E.Y.E. are a group with members from Serbia, Iran, and India. Citing such influences as Tool, Porcupine Tree, Nine Inch Nails, and Mogwai, Kallisti is a cinematic hour-long journey traversing the landscapes of prog, post, industrial and alternative rock, from subtle disquieting aggression to truly uplifting melody.
Founded in 2007, E.Y.E. are a band with a highly regarded local following in the middle. Having opened for Evanescence, Metallica and prog titans Anathema, the band are now ready to make their mark internationally – keep your eyes and ears open for a UK tour in December.
