With no Metal Female Voices Fest taking place this year, fans looking for an alternative event need look no further than the FemMe event in Eindhoven. Due to take place on the 16th and 17th October (Friday and Saturday), it will be held at the Effenaar venue in the centre of Eindhoven – within a couple of minutes walk of the station and with plenty of hotels within walking distance. The organisers have announced the first few bands to play this year’s event – Therion, Xandria, Stream of Passion, Kingfisher sky, Whyzdom, Purest of pain, Autumn, Aeverium, Sin7sins and Effloresce. With one headliner still to be announced the lineup is off to a great start.
For fans in the UK, it’s an easy festival to attend. Tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster.nl – and there is an English language option.
Travel is easy – Ryanair flies to Eindhoven airport, or you can fly to Schipol and get a train to Eindhoven, or if you don’t like flying there is the Eurostar to Brussels then a connecting train to Eindhoven.
