Formed at the end of 2022 and hailing from the beautiful and rugged Rhondda Valleys in South Wales, FORTUNE TELLER are comprised of close friends: Mason Meacham (vocals), Luke Jones (rhythm guitar), Lee Vaughan (bass guitar & backing vocals), Aaron Parfitt (lead guitar), and Josh Davies (drums). With a shared affection for contemporary pop-punk masters such as Knuckle Puck, The Story So Far, and Neck Deep, and an ever-lasting draw to old-school heroes Sum 41, Blink 182, and Good Charlotte, FORTUNE TELLER spent the majority of last year burrowed away writing, rehearsing and crafting material for their debut release and impending live blitz.
By the Autumn of 2023, the infectious quintet had tracks primed and studio-ready. The band remark: “We recorded the EP at Stompbox Studios here in South Wales with Todd Campbell of Phil Campbell and the **** Sons, then sent the tracks across to our now good friend Tom Ianello in the USA for mixing and mastering. He has also worked with some of our favorite bands such as Driveways and Four Year Strong, so we jumped at the chance to work with him”. Upon listening to the EP, you can understand the importance of working with Campbell and Ianello. The record is not only blessed with razor edge production, but it’s also full to the brim with anthemic gems, crushing riffs, and premium songwriting.
Armed with a jaw-dropping debut EP and a barrage of live shows set to be announced throughout the year, as well as a series of singles and festival appearances for this Summer, FORTUNE TELLER are ready to be your favourite new band….
