Fury have realised a dream with the release of their first full album which they have been working on for over a year. Fury began recording The Lightning Dream in February 2014, often working through the night to produce what they believe to be one of the most exciting new metal albums.
Following on from rave reviews at Bloodstock 2013 (9/10 – Live Nation) and Hammerfest 2014 (8/10 Metal Hammer) Fury’s aim was to capture their live flair and excitement on record… and they believe they have done it!
‘The Lightning Dream‘ contains 10 tracks, totalling 72 minutes, covering a wide range of heavy metal styles and themes from the fast paced, space race epic “Out Beyond The Stars” to the slow and heavy ghost ship experience of “Haul Away”. The album culminates in the truely gargantuan saga and title track “The Lightning Dream” which is over 12 minutes long and covers many styles of metal.
Fury have written, recorded and produced the whole album with help from Pete Newdeck (ex Eden’s Curse drummer) who brought the record to life with his mixing abilities. The record is also mastered by Harry Hess who has previously worked on records and reissues by Madonna, The Ramones, Barenaked Ladies and The Cancer
The tour that follows The Lightning Dream with Attica Rage begins in Inverness, Scotland on the 18th September and carries on accross the UK until the final concert at the Camden Underworld on the 8th October.
