Opening up tonight’s proceedings Manchester based black metalers Burial.
Causing quite a stir among the up and coming black metal scene to the extent that they have had their demo ep critically acclaimed by Zero Tolerance and was recently voted 9th best unsigned band in a reader’s poll by Terrorizer.
With sounds similar to Amon Amarth, it is easy to see why there is so much hype surrounding this band right now.
Intense, ferocious and brutal sum this band performance up tonight.

Following on we have Basement Torture Killings
B.T. K are rapidly gathering a cult following with their own brand of shock theatrical death rock. Wearing costumes depicting various movie style serial killers is one sure fire way to attract attention (as is appearing on reality tv….).
Theatrics asides this London based band have a lot of talent and their individual musicianship far outweighs the somewhat cheesy theatrics involved with there live performances – one to watch out for in the future ~ I think so

Next up we have the Irish band Abaddon Incarnate.
Taking to the stage the veteran Irish grindsters pummel the gathering crowd into submission with frantic riffs and blasting sounds.
It’s easy to see why this four piece are one of the most talked about Irish bands gracing our venues right now.
My only complaint about the set is that it was too short!!

The Swedish mad doctors collectively known as General Surgery complete this splatter fest.
Bringing there own brand of gore grind to The Masque tonight the doctors operate seamlessly.
Opening track Restrained Remains sets the scene for this gore fest where the mad Swedes grind out essentially a greatest hits ending with the anthem Ambulance Chaser.
