GR frontman, Arjun Bhishma, said, “Sometimes Birds Never Fly, is a song about a very real point in my musical career when I had just left my old band and I was 90% sure I was going to give up the dream for good. I’d had some good times, but nothing had worked out as I had imagined and I was sad and defeated. There was just a little voice in my heart telling me to give it one last try, to at least play with your ideal band one time. That’s when I called Liam and Charly and put Gorilla Riot together. This song is about that weekend.” He went on, “Solace is four very personal songs that I didn’t think would fit with the band. However, the boys liked them and, as always, took them to a level that I could never have imagined, bringing more nuance, texture and meaning to each song. We are also stoked to be heading out across England with our brothers in Doomsday Outlaw. It’s a concentrated run to pack as much hard-living fun into 5 dates as possible, kicking off in London on Thursday 10th Feb. We sure as hell, can’t wait!” The dates include: Thurs 10 Feb – O2 Academy2, Islington Fri 11 Feb – O2 Academy2, Liverpool Thur 17 Feb – O2 Institute3, Birmingham Fri 18 Feb – O2 Academy2, Leicester Sat 19 Feb – O2 Academy2, Sheffield Tickets: https://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/gorilla-riot-tickets/artist/5279134 Gorilla Riot is a 5-piece dirty rock n’ roll blues machine from Manchester, England.
