London East Ends finest, Gypsy’s Kiss return with a new single ‘Gone For Good’, taken from their 74 album. It’s a power ballad with balls, as lead vocalist David Smith captures the desperation in the song, perfectly. Prominent bass runs bubble around potent powerchords. Choruses are full of woe, as these fiery four minutes end on a snare driven headbang!
The band came to be in early 1974, a collaboration between David and Steve Harris. The band split towards the end of 1975 when Steve left to form Iron Maiden in December 1975. David reformed Gypsy’s Kiss some years later and are celebrating their 50th anniversary of the band in 2024. They are also releasing a special ltd CD, which includes the new release, plus the full album version, plus two amazing live tracks, recorded in Lublin, Poland, earlier this year – these live tracks are not available anywhere else!
