Welcome to Central Station presenting Heavens Basement
Opening up tonight’s proceedings are up and coming Chester whippersnappers Violent Karma.
Playing an indie fused rock edged set, these youngsters put on a spirited performance with a great seemingly virtuoso performance by guitarist Retro Johannson.
Highlight of the set: Creature of Fire
Great start to the night.

Following on we have seasoned sleezsters Whiskey & Lace
Having played every bar, pub and outhouse up and down the North West of England and Wales it was a good to finally get a chance to see the Wrexham based outfit.
All the constant gigging is playing major dividends for this great band which are rapidly turning into a lean, mean rocking machine.
Coming across as The Quireboys meets AC/DC meets Motley Crue this local act pretty much steal the show with their polished performance tonight (and that was BEFORE the Angus Young exploits of Phil Myth.
My only complaint about the set ~ they should have had a much longer set!!
Highlight of the set: Superhero

Having the tremendously difficult task of following on were midlands based Sworn to Oath.
Playing a heavier, more metal set than Whiskey they never seem to really capitalize on the momentum which they created ~ which is a shame as their studio stuff is rapidly spreading wide and far and is becoming very critically acclaimed.
Perhaps on a different night they would be better but tonight they fail to really take off.

Next up on the double header we have Jettblack.
Putting things back on a classic edged path with opening song “Two Hot Girls†and following on with a very polished, well versed set including the hits “Get Your Hands Dirty†and “Danger zoneâ€.
Jettblack continue to prove why they are becoming increasingly recognised as one of THE up-and-coming rock bands to watch, and carry on flying the flag of rock when the traditional standard bearers of this fine genre finally call it a day.
Highlight of the set: a tough call but Two Hot Girls pulls it off.

Ending tonight’s show are co-headliners Heavens Basement
Having been around the block and suffered numerous name changes and band line-up alterations, this current incarnation of HB are really cranking it up a notch or three and going balls out to set the rock scene on fire with there unique brand of blues laden hard rock.
Opening song Unbreakable sets the scene for an all out audio assault bringing the best of 1970s Deep Purple blues ballads slamming into 2011 with a new modern cutting edge feel to it.
Highlight of the set: Executioners Day
If the band lineout remains stable and they continue along this course they will have a great future ahead of them.
