Hell To Pay ‘So far so good’ EP.

“Hell To Pay” are one of Manchester’s hardest working bands, who play rock music, and they play it loud. They where the winners of the Rock Radio Battle Of The Bands 2010 and have since recently opened for Marseille, and have just headlined the recent Lancashire Rock & Bike Festival, in Blackpool.
This 4 track ep, “So far so good” is brimming with attitude, kick ass songs, with some stunning melt your face off guitar work that shows that these guys mean business, opening up with “Matter of time”, a full on hard rock song, they take little time in showing you what they are made off. A great song with a catchy hook.
“Burn me alive” opens with pounding drums from Tom, and a monster of a solo, there’s some great singing from Dan on this track before Dario lets his guitar do the talking.
“Hell to pay” is a bit of a slow burn track, building up to another one of Dario face melting solo’s.
“Pain in the future” closes this EP, and what way to go out, this is easily the best track on here for me, a rip roaring track with some great riffs, a great vocal performance and another stunning solo, closely followed by a change of tempo, the drum take over the track, with the guitars falling in line, before it once again bursts into life for a final climatic crescendo, this band are firing on all six.
Avery impressive 8/10.
