Highly Suspect – Two Grammy Nominations & UK Tour Dates

Yesterday saw Highly Suspect, one of the most exciting new rock bands to come out of the US, pick up two Grammy nominations for Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song.

Highly Suspect is reigniting the rock genre through their progressive rock sound, attitude and powerful vocals. Born out of the bustling indie rock-centric borough of Brooklyn, NYC, the Cape Cod-bred rockers formed around the talents of Johnny Stevens (guitar, vocals, synths) and twin siblings Ryan (drums, vocals) and Rich (bass, vocals) Meyer.

Their debut album, Mister Asylum, released via 300 Entertainment and produced by Joel Hamilton (Black Keys, Elvis Costello) is inspired by experiences of chemically-soaked nights, hazier mornings, broken relationships, and cathartic realizations.  Upon release, the record debuted at #56 on the Billboard Top 200, selling over 9,100 copies and making it one of the “top three biggest selling rock debuts by a new act in 2015.” The album has already received acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Billboard and The Fader.

Highly Suspect, managed by In De Goot Entertainment, will be in the UK from the 27th January – 8th February, as part of The Carnival of Madness Tour as well as a handful of solo performances. This will be their first time performing in the UK. The Carnival of Madness is a hard rock/alternative rock tour founded in 2010 with this 2016 run being the inaugural UK edition. Other acts include headliners Black Stone Cherry as well as Shinedown and Halestorm. Tickets and more information available at carnivalofmadness.com.
