Summary:

Homecoming UK send a welcome with the release of their brand new single 1989, available on all streaming platforms on March 5th.

Pop punk pit openers Homecoming UK from Birmingham return with a rather nifty little single, ‘1989’ that follows their rather spiffing (not spliffing) five track ‘Pop Punk From Wish EP’. The single is as infectious as an STD,(is there such a thing?). If not it’s not far from it as it goes for the throat from the off with a bombastic drum assault to shake your speakers (and maybe your neighbours to), sharing the rhythm section with ear splitting bass guitar belligerence. A brief midway throwdown escalates to a full on band outro of sugar sweet lead vocals and earworm guitar lines, razor sharp enough to keep the air guitarists happy. Job done in just over three minutes to make it, all killer, no filler!

An accompanying video will be added after March 5th.

The band proclaim that they are “When you order Blink 182 from Wish”.

The single is a reference to Taylor Swift and her accolades and the difficulty replicating that kind of success.
