Summary:

A great rock album

Kiss the gun formed in 2016 in Salisbury and in 2017 released their debut album, Nightmares which is a great album, particularly for a debut from a small band. In 2018 they replaced their singer with Abigail Austin, and now two years on they’re releasing their second album (the first to feature Abigail on vocals).

There’s definitely plenty to enjoy here. This is a great album that rock fans should enjoy. Aigail Austin has a very good voice and sings rock style rather than trying to go for a more operatic vocal style that seems to be the style fo choice for so many bands with female singers. The guitar playing is great and there’s a good solid rhythm sectio in driving things along.

Check out the great opening track, “Flight of the phoenix”…

“Out on my own” is one of my favourites on the album with plenty of pace. While I really like “Dreamer” it just feels a bit too long so early enjoyment fades away slightly toward the end.

Check out “What we’ve become”…

The two videos here will give you a good idea of what to expect from the album. I think it’s a great album and it’ll certainly be joining my album collection (which already includes their debut release).

“We see you” will be released on 4th September 2020
