Based throughout the Midlands, LEARN TO LIE are comprised of Courtney Hurcombe (Vocalist), Andy Burns (Guitar), Matt Checkley (Bass), and Matt Jones (Drums). With glowing comparisons to the likes of Paramore, Marmozets and Biffy Clyro, , LEARN TO LIE deliver gigantic riffs and super hooky choruses with an animated live performance that is sure to bear a significant mark.
With a growing back catalogue and with a glut of well-received singles released within the last year, namely: Lost Boys, Smile, and an acoustic version of Lost Boys, LEARN TO LIE have the ability and prolificity to strike out to a national level. Next up for the industrious foursome is the release of their powerful new single, Strong. This emotive earworm really hits home with its feisty riffery and hooky refrain. The band remark about the inspiration behind the single: “’Strong’ is about walking away from relationships that are no longer healthy, whether it’s family, friends or work. The imagery from the single artwork and lyric video represents the possible causes for breakdown of any relationship, from Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance—known as the 5 stages of grief.”
