Les-Fest 2013 – the 5th announcement!

les-fest poster March 2013Dave Ritchie -And so we get to announcement number 5 for Les-Fest 2013. We believe the addition of the following bands helps to cement our place as a serious contender on the UK Rock and Metal Scene and undoubtedly Scotland’s best festival, with a diverse and interesting range of Rock and Metal music.

First up we are delighted to announce the inclusion of Welsh Rockers Hangfire to Sunday’s line up. These experienced and highly talented musicians serve up a massive slab of blues grooves, with monstrous power and melody and they are really going to takes us towards the conclusion of our festival in style.

For months now we have been scouring the country looking for something very different and we think we have found it in Winter in Eden, receiving rave reviews for their current album “Awakening” they have been highlighted in the music press as the top UK band in their genre and a real challenger to the likes of Within Temptation and Delain respectively. So if you fancy a bit of female fronted Symphonic Gothic tinged Rock and Metal then catch them live on Saturday.

Next up we are really pleased to confirm the addition of Fighting Wolves to the line up. There is no doubt that they are one of THE major break through artists in 2013 with regular radio airplay, catchy choruses and hard and heavy rock songs.

Joining the line up on Friday we have a band that pulled a very large number of votes in our recent poll. They are Glasgow based, have a very strong and loyal following and go by the name of Diementia, be prepared for a brutal assault of Death, Thrash Metal.

Moving slightly further afield now we are joined by two up and coming English bands. First up we have Twisted Species, hailing from the West Midlands there music may best be described as Grunge Tunes with Metal Grooves – think Pearl Jam meets Black Stone Cherry! Secondly we have the North-West based Falter, fierce, thrilling and an adrenaline rush they have built up a very strong local following and have a truly unique sound.

Finally to conclude our Main Stage announcements we are really pleased to be showcasing local Lanarkshire lads, Temple Dawn a melodic, powerful, Alternative Rock band, this appearance should coincide with the release of their hotly anticipated debut album and trust us, these guys are going places.

Moving on to our second stage we are happy to announce 3 more artists for you. First up we have Lucifer Fallen an 18 year old female vocalist with Hard Rock, Horror Punk, Gothic and Metal influences this appearance will coincide with the release of her first EP. We will also be joined by The Gnomes (Formerly Big Dave and the Gnomes) Described as a contemporary, acoustic based Folk/Rock/Indie/Soul band prepare to be entertained!

Finally we have another artist returning to stage 2 best known as guitar player with 15 Times Dead; we will have a Dan Dean solo performance. In addition to those acts and the ones previously announced we will also be highly entertained with acoustic sets from 4 Main Stage performers, namely Estrella, Triaxis, Sinocence and The Goddamn Electric.

So all in all it is shaping up to be an incredible weekend with a few more announcements still in the pipeline and all for only £15 per day including camping.
