LES-FEST 3 moves to new larger location!

With 2 successful festivals already under its belt, the award winning Les-Fest is on the move.

Organiser Dave Ritchie said “Partly through circumstances and more through necessity we found it desirable to move venues for 2014. We believe we have found a magnificent place within the grounds of Wiston Lodge, Lanark

Wiston Lodge is a former Victorian Hunting Lodge built in the 1850s. Located near Lanark in Scotland less than an hour from Glasgow, Edinburgh or Carlisle and only 10 minutes from the M74, motorway it is the ideal location.

Dave continues, “With the lodge and the grounds we have room for future expansion and we can offer a far greater festival experience, with improved camping, Tipi camping, wooden cabins and a boating lake amongst other things”

However we also want people to be aware of their location and we know from previous festivals that everyone will respect the surroundings and buy into the philosophy of the new venue.

As a registered charity, Wiston Lodge is a place where guests are able to develop personal, social and work skills. A world where people have the opportunities and support they need to grow positive, sustainable futures. Programmes are particularly tailored to children and young people, vulnerable adults, and to the staff of the organisations that support them. The staff at Wiston work hard to provide everyone with a friendly welcome and a safe, comfortable stay.

This sits really well with the ethos of Les-Fest to support local needs, to build good community relationships and particularly now with our support for the Teenage Cancer Trust, to support youth based charities.

Full details of the new location and venue are available now on the Les-Fest website and the new band announcement is imminent.
