@LessThanJake and @ReelBigFish show in Glasgow reviewed by @AnybodyBC for @PlanetMosh
Wednesday evening in O2 ABC began loudly with Zebrahead on the stage while there was still a considerable queue outside the venue. As I rushed inside guys on the stage were already engaging the audience and introducing their friends ‘the Germans’, who were drinking beer on stage. Their show was all about drinking, having fun with friends and girls. They played around half an hour and ended their show with guys from Reel Big Fish joining them for the last song.
As was expected, after the last song of Zebrahead, the next band on the stage was Reel Big Fish. The crowd was finally all inside the sold out venue. RBF are six funny, colorful ska guys and are always very talkative and explosive. They delivered a onne hour of energy bomb filled with 12 songs and the assembly buzzing with excitement..
Reel Big Fish setlist:
I Want Your Girlfriend to Be My Girlfriend Too
Everyone Else Is an Asshole / Trendy
I Dare You To Break My Heart
Your Guts (I Hate ‘Em)
Where Have You Been
- I Know You Too Well to Like You Anymore
Take On Me
Less Than Jake were even more energetic and even more communicative with audience that their co-headliners and support. They brought fans up onto the stage three times during their performance. The first one was a whole family, the second, a couple to engage in a drinking contest and for the third, a girl for the encore. The band tested the Scottish sense of humor as well when Chris DeMakes announced, that the next time they will play here “together with Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga”. Their setlist consisted of 16 fast ska punk songs, including encore.
Overall it was a fantastic night of fun filled joyous energy where three bands were on top of their game in front of an appreciative audience.
