Summary:

Lions In The Street are definitely the mane attraction as they release their latest album Moving Along via Interior Castle Music.

It’s here! One of the most awaited albums I’ve been waiting to review for quite some time courtesy of Vancouver, Canada based rockers Lions In The Street via Interior Castle Music, a very busy time for them as they’re currently putting the finishing touches on a live album, and a record with Multi Grammar Award Winning producer Dave Cobb.

Twelve tracks on the Moving Along album roar with aplomb, point proven by the album title track. A scything opening intro riff, eardrum stinging feedback are beefed up by a furious drum pound, with gritty harmonica and a put up or shut up attitude!

‘Mine Ain’t Yours’ add a sixties rock and roll vibe, smashing out a fiery shuffle to get those toes tapping and it’s so powerful, you would swear there was four guitars raging away for a full on headbanger!

‘Walking Back To You’ brought to mind the tougher side of Creedence Clearwater Revival for some barroom boogie as it romps and stomps on guitar heaven and a pleading lead vocal.

They settle down for ‘Gold Pour Down’ for a rhythm and blues masterclass, pinned down by inventive drum patterns and boisterous bass guitar.

Time to shed a tear or two as ‘Lady Blue’ tugs at the heart strings for some sweet soul moods from soothing keyboards and stadium filling choruses.

‘Waiting On A Woman’ is another full on party starter and finisher with an added saxophone midsection to make for a full on strutter.

The pace picks up again for ‘Already Gone’, another major rager par excellence. It’s another gem for the headbangers to go crazy to.

‘Shangri La’ is a rock and rollercoaster ride, so fast it could come off the rails at any turn of the track.

Punks not dead is shouted out for ‘Hey Hey Arlene’ to zoom along on a fiery trail of blink and you’ll miss it guitar overload.

‘All For Your Love’ belies it’s meaning for the heaviest and my favourite track as thick grooves dominate until the lungbusting choruses arrive.

A country and western bucking bronco called ‘Truer Now’ has another heart melting vocal, kicking out the jams as a banjo piece gets us dancing, especially in the powerful choruses.

Even though we get twelve tracks it still seems too early for this highly impressive album to end as stoner rocker ‘You’re Gonna Lose’ has a main riff to move mountains in earth shaking style.
