Summary:

The Good Die Young, latest single from Massive Wagons, taken from upcoming studio album Earth To Grace, have added a few years to my already 61 of them from this adrenaline fuelled rocker!

The wait is over, as Massive Wagons release their seventh studio album, Earth To Grace, released by Earache Records on November 28th, 2024. They’ve just released their third single from it, ‘The Good Die Young’ and after only one play, I think it’s the best song they’ve penned. Lead vocalist Barry ‘Baz’ Mills adds, “Getting old is guaranteed …growing old is optional. I’m no expert and certainly no doctor, but as far as I’m concerned, they can take my body, but you ain’t taking my sense of humour! Stay young folks, stay hungry, stay motivated, keep dreaming, and keep moving forward, cos as soon as you accept its over …it’s over. Grow old, do not get old”.

To my ears, if there’s such a thing as a perfect song, then this is a major contender as a poignant intro of Baz’s opening vocal and earworm guitar lines explode when the, erm, massive riffs muscle up to a crescendo towards melody with muscle choruses, but my major highlight comes from a cameo appearance from Colin Doran of Hundred Reasons, for a vocal duet with Baz and Colin, closing on a headbanging outro and some seriously over the top dad dancing!

Massive Wagons formed in Lancaster 2009 after seeing an Airbourne gig in Manchester, moved away from their indie cover band Face To Face and started writing original rock music that year.
