Minus Ten Thousand Hours – M2TM Ireland Finalist 2016 – interview

Minus Ten Thousand Hours

Following on from their ball busting semi final at this year’s  Metal 2 The Masses Ireland, PlanetMosh caught up with the lads from Minus Ten Thousand Hours and here’s what they had to say ahead of the final this weekend.

Congrats on getting to the final guys. Can you explain the feeling when you heard your name announced at the semi final?

It was unreal! We didn’t expect it at all and to get the crowd vote was great for us, knowing that people liked our set means a lot.

Speaking of the final. How have preparations been going?

They’ve been going great. Lots of good practice with some new material on the way.

This year, how has the whole Metal 2 The Masses experience been?

It’s been stellar. There’s never a dull crowd at any of the shows that we’ve played or attended to support our mates.

What would you say to bands thinking about applying for next year’s competition?

Do it! It’s a great opportunity.

Has there been a memorable moment that stands out in your mind at the shows to date?

The crowd interaction that we got at our semi-final was mind blowing.

Personally, I feel that everyone in the final is a winner but if you were to be chosen to represent Ireland at Bloodstock, what would it mean to your band.

It would mean a hell of a lot! The platform of getting to play Bloodstock and to represent your country is one thing but to get chosen out of so many ridiculously talented bands is something else entirely.

If you could pick one song from your arsenal to let the uninitiated hear what your band is all about, what would it be?

Ooooh tough one….For fans of heavier music I’d say ‘I Cut the Gas Line’ but there is a lil something for everyone in our stuff.

In 5 words, describe what we can expect from you at the final.

Loud, Heavy, Beautiful, Weird, Messy.
