Modern Metallers BRUTAI release new video single ‘DEEP’ ahead of show supporting TEXTURES

London-based modern Metallers in BRUTAI have released a belter of a new single with accompanying music video for their track ‘DEEP‘, taken from their forthcoming album which is due for a summer release.

This new track lyrically tells of a period of songwriter’s block that they experienced whilst writing their debut full length. It’s a mix of melodic and and progressive metal, with catchy as hell vocal lines, guitar wizardry and groovy intricate drum work. Something for all modern metal followers to enjoy.

You can view the video, which was directed by Dark Fable Media, below.

Felix Lawrie (Frontman, Guitarist) says
Lyrically, Deep is about a time when we were struggling as a band during the writing process of the album. It talks about challenges we faced when overcoming adversities such as writers block and other struggles in our personal lives. We needed to come back and finish what we started. This song is a reminder to never give up.”

From a guitarist who performed in the X Factor finals, a frontman related to pop-royalty (Felix’s Auntie is Lulu who sang the hit ‘Shout’, his Father wrote songs for Lionel Richie and Tina Turner) and a keyboardist whose Dad has performed on a Beyoncé song- Brutai have defied their commercial upbringing to bring rock and metal fans something fresh and new.

The band are currently having their debut album mixed and mastered by Matt Hyde (Bullet, Trivium, Slipknot, Machine Head) which is due for a May release and are supporting TEXTURESat the Underworld on 25th February.

Last year saw the band play with As Lions, Xerath, Ne Obliviscaris, Skindred, and more.

“…few of the genre’s current protagonists can match Brutai when it comes to matching that technical prowess with refined songwriting skills.
Precise, ornate and never less than monstrously heavy, the size of their hooks and melodies make them such an enticing proposition.”
– Dom Lawson, Metal Hammer

“Brutai get bodies moving with their groove metal, proving they’re more than capable of headlining such venues themselves”
-Amit Sharma – Kerrang
