Motel Transylvania: CHILDREN OF THE DARK tribute to the iconic song of MONO INC.

Industrial metal goth band Motel Transylvania new single ‘Children Of The Dark’ a tribute to MONO INC. out now!

Busy working on new unreleased songs and prepping for their summer shows, Motel Transylvania decided to release their first official cover ‘Children Of The Dark’ ahead of festival season.

Children of The Dark is a manifesto by German Goth band MONO INC. The choice of song was dictated not just by the importance of the piece for the gothic scene but by the meaning that the band feels extremely close to their ‘Generation Lost’ concept.

The approach to the song remained pretty faithful to the original composition but readapted the sound that distinguishes Motel Transylvania in their production and live shows.

The symphonic parts, characteristic of the chorus and mainlines, have been replaced by massive synth sounds and the guitars are more present, scratchy and persistent.

As for the voices, the mood is very close to what the band proposes in the live dimension, raw parts alternate with rounded and whispered voices which explode in an overlap of layers that lead to a fast and dynamic ending!

The band collaborated with Lorenzo Accattoli (Stain The Canvas, Avatara Studios) for this production of this release. The mix and mastering part from Benjamin Mudigler (Lord of The Lost, Scarlet Dorn, Chameleon Studios, Hamburg)
