A reject… an outsider… a stray dog…a shadow at your door. There was no parent company involved with the release of Canadian horrorpunk group NIM VIND’s album Saturday Night Séance Songs, neither investors, nor fiscal plans of any sort. Yet, the band’s successful grassroots operation has been honored by RUE MORGUE Magazine with the naming of Saturday Night Séance Songs as the “Best Album” of 2014 in their year wrap-up issue, on newsstands now (issue #152)!

Nim states, “I’ve loved RUE MORGUE Magazine ever since I picked up my first issue. I’ve read every issue and so do my fans, so it was a killer surprise to find that Saturday Night Séance Songs had been named” Best Album” of 2014 by my favorite mag! For all that know my black-flag-flying pirate operation, it’s double-cool to see our album on an award list jammed between two releases by NBC. Another win for the weird world operating outside the perimeter in the stoned Immaculate dark.”

See below for the page and make sure to pick up a copy of RUE MORGUE at your local major bookstore/magazine carrier.

In addition to this announcement, NIM VIND just released another fan-created video for their track “ESP”. Check it out here, feauturing classic horror imagery and band footage:

You can download the band’s new album, Saturday Night Séance Songs, via Amazon or iTunes.

NIM VIND invites the listener’s mind into his dark and stormy world with Saturday Night Séance Songs. The album is mixed by Jay Ruston (Stone Sour, Anthrax, Meatloaf, Steel Panther), who has taken the NIM VIND signature sound to heightened frenzy. More underground additions to the critical team are Canadian music veteran engineer Doug Fury (Bif Naked) and up-and-coming Anaheim, CA mixer David Irish (sound tech for punk band “X”). In addition, as mentioned above, NIM VIND worked with legendary rock producer Todd Rundgren on the other worldly track ‘Astronomicon’.

NIM VIND is:

Anthony Kilz – Tony Kirkham: Drums, Vocals

Robbie K – Rob Kirkham: Bass, Vocals
