Slowly but surely, The Arena Crewe is becoming one of my favourite venues in Crewe, thanks to the vision and verve of co-owner Lawrence Thomason and his hard working team, point proven by his event on April 11th 2025, Original Bands Night.
As the title says, the four bands all smashed out a 45 minute set each, lapped up by an excited crowd.
Opening band, Crewe based rock band Siege Of Herons shook the foundations with some razor sharp riffing and angst. http://siegeofheronsband .
Next up were Stoke On Trent, 3 piece post emo band based noisy bastards (in a good way),Secret City Souls who raged hard and heavy with aplomb. http://linktr.ee/secretcitysouls
Next up saw These Towns, also known as Acrylic who normally dish out some incendiary indie covers but have now stepped up the ladder by writing their own, strong material with very impressive stage presence, closing their blink and you’ll miss it set, closing with power and precision with their self titled song.http://linktr.ee/thesetowns?utm_source=linktree_profile_share<sid=9bb1d0d5-fd33-4be2-a157-752a026a7fb0
Headliners, Chesire based, self proclaimed power pop punkers Chasing The Fall closed this magnificent evening of home grown original music, shaking off the shackles of their previous name Mankind Arise, lead by the party starting and finishing, one man tornado that is lead vocalist, Andy Mac, backed up by the power trio of Becki Todd on bass guitar and backing vocals, Phil ‘Pip’ McMullin on lead guitar, and the human powerhouse that is Matty Burdett on drums, celebrating ‘30,000 feet’, recently released single.
