There are few things more inspirational than a powerful shared vision between two lifelong friends. Cambridgeshire-based riff merchants Will Wright (bassist/vocalist) and Tom Cope (guitarist/vocalist) pulled together their creativity and drive to ignite a mesmerising shower of sparks in the original creation of PAST THE FALL.
Now a few years down the line, and with a settled line up, PAST THE FALL have been transformed by time, progress and maturity. Consistent touring and extensive jaunts throughout the UK, Europe, Mexico and North America have refined the band immensely. Also, sharing stages with everyone from cult thrashers Vektor to ex-Judas Priest singer Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens has pushed Will, Tom and new drummer Sebastian Fernandez to fresh levels of virtuosity and verve.
Emitting a towering display of contemporary metal fury, refined classicism and subtly progressive flair, PAST THE FALL draw in from Mastodon, Alice In Chains, and Pantera, and unleash a tantalising amalgamation of groove metal laced with grungy sleaze that has recently wooed audiences at Bloodstock and Hellfest. As well as cultivating a hefty live reputation and an impressive band of followers, PAST THE FALL have also received much praise for their debut album, From Insanity’s Ruin, which has seen the unstoppable heavyweights’ streaming numbers increase year on year.
With plans afoot for further widespread touring and festival appearances, the three-piece will also release a series of enticing singles throughout 2024, with the track, Poison Mirror, set to pave the way for the band’s undoubtable continued rise.
