We caught up with the band to find our more about their background and history:
What is the full band line-up, who sings and who plays which instrument?
Thomas- Vocals/Guitars, Will- Screams/Bass, Sebastian- Drums
How and when did the band form?
Its based around Thomas and Wills friendship, they’ve known each other since they were 12 years old. They formed the band seriously in 2015, and Sebastian joined at the beginning of 2023 replacing the previous Drummer. We’re originally from the sticks in Cambridgeshire growing up, their wasn’t a lot going on so that probably made music so vital!
When and how did the band really start gelling and solidifying?
Musically- probably with the pre production of our debut record ‘From Insanity’s Ruin’ We self produced and that time off the clock really allowed us to experiment with lots of ideas and challenge ourselves personally. Live performance has always been our forte as we ‘ve put a lot of pride in being tight, so we toured as much as possible from 2015 to learn the hard way!
Who are your musical influences?
Probably all the cream of 90’s grunge and metal (AIC, Soundgarden, pantera, sepultura, megadeth) is right up there, plus slightly more modern bands like mastodon and opeth.
Where did the name of the band come from?
It was the top of the list of a random brainstorm or 3 word names. Guess it stuck out and felt right as it signifies moving past the end/failures of our previous projects.
Name one crazy, interesting, or wild fact or story about the band or a specific member?
One is a kickboxer, another a rock climber/jujitsu practitioner, another was a roadie for QOTSA!
How far back does your history with each other (the band members) extend?
Will and Thomas have known each other since they were 12 years old, Sebastian met and started working with the band at the beginning of 2023.
Are you friends from school or any family relations?
Yep! Will met Thomas in School, Will had just changed schools and saw Thomas giving the teachers hell!
Where have you played or toured?
UK, USA, Mexico, Slovenia, Italy, France, Spain, Slovakia, Germany, Holland, Belgium. Vektor, Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens, Lich King, Hirax (Bloodstock- with Sepultura, Ugly Kid Joe, Megadeth.)
In your opinion, how is your band different from all the other bands out there?
We prioritize songs and feel over scene clicks and metronomes, the solos are word class shredding, twin vocals that take in the entire spectrum form whispers to screams heavy groove addled soul antidote to the millions of sub fractured metal subgenred rigid music by numbers digital soundwash, that are becoming more and more irreverent day by day.
If a deaf person were to ask you to describe the sound of your music, how would you describe it?
Epic Groove Metal with grungy sleaze and soul.
