UK gothic innovators Fields Of The Nephilim will make an exclusive special guest appearance on a bill that already features Enslaved, Wardruna, Norwegian avant-garde act Virus and Icelandic post-metallers Sólstafir – as well as Skuggsjá, the special Enslaved/Wardruna collaboration featuring curators Ivar Bjørnson and Einar Selvik.
Roadburn’s special curated events put a unique spin on the already eclectic nature of the festival, and are also accurate reflections of the influences and interests of the guest curators. In 2013, Jus Osborn (Electric Wizard) turned the 013 venue into ground zero for the world’s most cutting-edge doom and acid rock, while 2014 saw Mikael Åkerfeldt offer up a master class in some of the greatest progressive rock ever created.
Also confirmed for the 20th annual Roadburn are Norwegian ‘sort-of supergroup’ Spidergawd – featuring Motorpsycho’s Bent Sæther and Kenneth Kapstad plus Per Borten of Cadilac – Ohio fuzz rockers Lo-Pan and London-based blackened doom triad Bast.
Tickets go on sale on Thursday October 16 via http://www.roadburn.com/roadburn-2015/tickets/. Three-day tickets will be available for €165 (excl. service fees), while four-day tickets will cost €185 (excl. service fees). Tickets for the Sunday ‘Afterburner’cost €32.50 (excl. service fees).
