They don’t hang around in Orange County, California, point proven by Robert Jon & The Wreck who have hammered out nine studio albums since 2011 and have just released a new single ‘Point Of View’ via Journeyman Records. Currently in the middle of a successful European tour, so much so, they’ve mapped out dates for 2025 already!
Lead guitarist Henry James Schneekluth adds “Point Of View is a story inspired by those rare experiences where things get a little wild”.
My take on the song is it’s definitely one for the air guitarists. It’s a true party starter and finisher as they hammer out this full on rocker. A gritty lead vocal whoops and hollers over an unrelenting drum cavalcade that reminded me of mighty Max Weinberg. Bass guitar bombast adds more rock and prominent keyboards liven it up more, ending on a raging lead guitar outro from the Gibson of Henry James Schneekluth.
