Second Rate Angels are set to play the New Blood Stage at this years Bloodstock festival on Friday the 9th August.
We catch up with the band to find out more about them, the festival, their thoughts and what you lucky Bloodstock go-er’s will see!
Can you give the readers a quick introduction to the band.
Hard hitting, hard working, high octane live band.
How would you describe your sound.
A highly melodic, metal tinged rock, with sing along choruses and plethora of duel guitar solos.
Why did you want to become part of the New Blood Stage line up?
It’s the only true major Metal Festival in the UK.
What was your initial reaction when you found out you where playing on the New Blood Stage.
Pure excitement. It was something we really wanted and had worked hard to achieve.
What can the audience expect from you at the festival.
A lot of energy, free merch and maybe some roast chicken.
What has been the bands biggest achievement so far?
Winning Metal to the Masses Reading and consequently getting our slot and Bloodstock
Have you ever been to Bloodstock before? If so when and what did you enjoy most about it.
Oh yes, discovering how amazing Children of Bodom are live when they headlined the Saturday in 2010, and Twisted Sister getting the entire crowd jump at the same time
What is your opinion of the Bloodstock line-up.
One of the best yet
What are you looking forward to most at Bloodstock.
Just being apart of Bloodstock, and enjoying it from the other side for the first time
