Summary:

Tech N’ Roll is a great release for those with a broader acceptance of mixing music genres, so if you like Senser and to a degree Linkin Park, then this will feel right at home in your cd collection.

Tech N’ Roll is the debut album from Seek Irony, originally from Tel Aviv, but now relocated to Austin Texas. Founding members and brothers Kfir and Rom Gov relocated to join forces with Grammy Nominated guitarist Alex Campbell, bassist Adam Donovan and multi-talented Mikael Oganes (Pianist, Keyboardist, DJ).

Tech and roll gives away its musical direction in the title, but this album is much more than that, it is very much a hard rock record with techno influences, though they are not quite in the Senser league they do have a lot going for them.

The opener “She” is a catchy, rocking tune, ,it as if the band are just laying the foundations before they get all techno with the title track Tech N’ Roll.

It’s not all rock and dance (in parts) though as “When You Lie” comes across as a punk number, while they slow it right down for the slow-tempo off “Head Above The Water”.

It is followed by one of Seek Irony’s established tunes, the title track Tech N’ Roll which introduces more of the electronic elements of the band. Our favorites are “Skin 2 skin” (very intense!), “When You Lie” (almost a little punky rock and U2 influence there) and the slow-tempo “Head Above The Water”.

“Low” is a superb slab of mixing genres, it has a killer of a distorted riff and catchy chorus yet sits firmly in dance territory, Nine Inch Nails (closer) anyone?

Tech N’ Roll is a great release for those with a broader acceptance of mixing music genres, so if you like Senser and to a degree Linkin Park, then this will feel right at home in your cd collection.

In April 2016 Seek Irony had signed a world wide record deal with UDR Records/Warner Bros. “Tech N Roll” is scheduled to be released world wide July 29th, 2016.
