SHOW YOUR FACE – Afraid EP.

Greece has always had a pretty strong Metal scene but I guess it’s only over the last couple of years that the rest of the world has begun to tap into and appreciate the wealth of talent that lies within.

Show Your Face are most definitely set to continue that tradition if this three track EP is anything to go by. This isn’t the bands first offering however as a full length album ‘Unleash’ surfaced last year but this current release is most certainly designed to point to things in the future rather than things past.

Opening track ‘Afraid’ smacks of Machine Head and/ or Lamb Of God and is a piledriver of a song to kick things off with, whilst ‘Born Dead Die Alive’ is a more groove driven track, still overloading the volume levels but with some really impressive Bass guitar lines driving the whole song forward.

Final track ‘I Sin’ however, to me, is the showstopper. This is a track that builds and builds, boasting a monster riff straight from the Kataklysm school of Metal.

As a taster of what this band is capable of this is a no brainer, a really wonderful fifteen minutes of technically faultless and passion driven Metal Groove Thrashcore.

Well worth checking this band out in my opinion.
