Emerging Goth Metallers ‘Sinnergod’ unleash their engulfing self-titled album through all platforms on Friday 9th September.

Hailed as ‘The New Goth Kings Of Manchester’ by Metal Hammer Magazine, the North West dark metalllers Sinnergod certainly live up to their reputation. They dispatch a sound that curiously tugs from Depeche Mode and Gary Numan, and also channels the rhythmic crunch, pounding drums and colossal choruses of Metallica and Iron Maiden.

The five-some were formed in Wigan by twin brothers Mark and Chris Hampson. It took only a few months of playing live before they landed a slot at Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2007, earning the metallers positive reviews from both spectators and press alike. Sinnergod are no strangers to the stage, or the recording studio, and since their inception they have released three highly successful Eps, Two Thousand and Never (2009), A World in Grey (2012) and Behind Every Corner (2013), and one full-length release, Seven Deadly Sinphonies (2014), which also racked up rave reviews and a swell of support from the Underground. In 2013, the band also worked with Ex Iron Maiden singer Blaze Bayley on the music video for the track It’s a Wonderful Life; the video notched up 48,000 views and counting. Besides a prolific recording output, the quintet have also picked up notable support slots with Misfits, Deathstars, Orgy, KMFDM and Blaze Bayley.

Sinnergod are now braced to unleash their most exciting record to date. The alt-merchants deliver their sophomore self-titled album this September and it is genuinely mesmerising. With twelve thumping cuts which incorporate and supremely web together engrossing rock & metal and edgy electronica with captivating atmospherics, the band have surpassed themselves with this release. There are many highlights on this record, but be sure to digest their past single Burn , which lays down a striking marker in the sand. For any rock or metal fan that has a diet for riffs peppered with 80’s electronica, this album is an absolute must.
