This the first time I’ve been able to listen to this group’s songs and I think my record collection has been deficient for it! The groups singer/guitar player Skarlett, has a really strong rock style which belays her tender years and diminutive stature. While it’s Danny, Tom and Luke who make up the other three quarters of the band who help bring us this latest hard hitting album “Tear Me Down” (out now). If you’re going to listen to this group, and trust me you should, turn up the volume and get ready to hold onto the cat or your granny! as they explode out of your speakers system with high energy and throbbing vibrancy.
The first track we’re presented with is Faded Memory, which gets straight into the beat and then bursts into life trying hard to rip the covers off your speakers. With good lyrics and rhythm it’s a great beginning to their new album. The second track is their newly released single What We’ve Become. It starts off a little quieter at first then settles down to a nice easy to listen to track you can sing along with, it won’t disappoint.
Rock N Roll Queen, is a classic old school rock track and these guy’s have it mastered like pro’s. The song Lost is more like a mystic interlude, being only a couple of minutes long it might have been nice to hear a bit more of this one.
Album cover song Tear Me Down, is conveying to us a strong message regards social behavior. A vibrant hard hitting serious track with some nice melody’s and an easy to sing along with chorus . An upbeat guitar solo near the end of the track makes this an overall good listen, with a good choice of song title. Quoted from S.R. ” it was written about people who bring others down in what they do. Don’t let anyone pull you down in what you do, and never give up on what you believe in because dreams can come true”.

Broken Wings, lets us hear Skarlett’s beautiful voice at the start of the song. We are then treated to another powerful rock ballad by this North Lincolnshire quartet. Last off is Riot, finishing us off in the same style as we first started, a real thumping sound. Luke the band’s drummer, his sticks must have been on fire after making this song. It’s sung from the heart and with a brilliant guitar solo, it smacks you with punch to the head with lots of powerful energy and an aggressive beat that we’ve now come to expect from S.R.
The group’s debut EP “Villain”,was released March of 2012. The reviews that the band received had them marked as a group to watch for as rising stars. This new album “Tear Me Down”, looks to be going the same way, helping them to for fill their own dreams and giving us pleasure as we ride along with them.
