Longevity in the music business is a cherished lifeline which is quite rightly proven by Marc Storace who is still raging away at the ripe old age of 72, born in Silema, Malta and he has lost none of his vocal prowess with his new band Storace, as he delivers an enigmatic performance with new single ‘Rock This City’, released via Frontiers Music Srl.
He’s mainly known from being the voice of Krokus joining them in 1979, the most successful hard rock band from Switzerland. After Metal Rendezvous, their first album with Marc, Krokus played several World tours, sold over fifteen million records and won many gold and platinum awards. Marc has been performing with his new band Storace since May 2022.
My take on the song is Rock This City? They level this city to the ground as this heavy metal marauder pounds and pounds along on a sturdy main riff to test the metal mettle of any P.A system its played through. Choruses are huge, delivered by a gang like vocal as Marc stretches his lung capacity to the limit with his trademark, Bon Scott like rasp, all nailed down by a fretboard melting guitar solo.
