Stormzone to release concept album

Northern Ireland power metallers Stormzone are to release their fifth album, ‘Seven Sins’, via Metal Nations on August 3.

Recorded at FireMachine studios and produced by guitarist Steve Moore, ‘Seven Sins’ is a concept album.  Set in the 18th century, the album tells the story of the mysterious Dr Dealer, his travelling troupe of various gifted misfits and the Seven Sins Emporium into which he invites men to test their resolve and strength.

Stormzone - Seven Sins artworkStormzone vocalist, lyricist and founding member John ‘Harv’ Harbinson said of the challenge of producing the band’s most ambitious album to date:  “It’s hard to describe ‘Seven Sins’ in one paragraph… the story-line is so complex. It’s a very dark subject.  It’s touch and go at times with regards to how far you can go with it, but at the end of it all there’s hope.”

When released, the physical CD booklet will include a code which will give fans the opportunity to download a further four brand new songs not available on the album from the official Stormzone website:  but, it won’t be that easy, as the songs have to guessed in the right order to unlock them!

Stormzone have lined up two Spanish festival appearances Skulls of Metal in Jaen on July 18 and Leyendas Del Rock in Alicante from August 5-8. Further dates, including more shows with Saxon, with whom they have toured in each of the past two years, are also expected to be announced shortly.
