SUMO CYCO hit the studio for album number two and announce tour supporting Alien Ant Farm

SUMO CYCO are holed up in the studio working on the follow up to 2014’s ‘Lost In Cyco City’, drawing from the wealth of live experience their recent, relentless touring has provided, to bring a new approach to their recorded output. Says front-Cyco SEVER:

“We’re taking the elements you hear in our debut album and pushing it to the limits. I’m screaming more, rapping more and testing the boundaries of my voice.”

“Playing live over the past year has really inspired us in the writing process. Certain elements go down better live than others and we’re bringing that to the table for record number two.”

“I can’t wait to show everyone what we’ve been working on. Each song has a really cool driving energy, like a train that can’t be stopped.”

The Canadian punk-metallers have also announced their return to the UK in Oct, where they will embark on a mammoth 17 date tour supporting ALIEN ANT FARM.

“If someone told me when I was 13 rocking out to Smooth Criminal in my bedroom that I’d be touring with Alien Ant Farm 15 years later in England, Ireland & Scotland, never would’ve believed them! Life is crazy sometimes!” says SEVER.

“We’re extremely stoked to be part of this line-up and are over the moon that UK wants us back again. Every time we get back to the UK we’re welcomed by more cyco fans and we couldn’t be more excited!”

Check out ‘Fuel My Fire’ and ‘Crowd Control’, which continue Chapters 7 and 8 in the on going series.
