Welcome back to the Takeaway Thieves, Blackpools biggest export, point proven by brand new single ‘Kickin’ My Heart Around, taken from their upcoming sophomore album Diamond Point, released via Coffee n Mint Records on October 11th 2024, prior to that they’ll be having an album release party at the Waterloo in Blackpool on October 6th.
Lead singer Peter McLoughlin proclaims that “Kickin My Heart Around explores the ‘Avoidance of Toxic Behaviour”.
My opinion is that if you want riffs, you got em! Big fat P.A destroying rifferama as well as earworm guitar lines to keep you entertained. The trademark rasp of Peter adds an extra edge to an already sleazy song. Drums pound showing no remorse and band delivered caustic choruses show just how much we’ve missed the Blackpool based rockers!
