It’s only around 18 months since The Crunch released their debut album, but they’re already gearing up to release their second album in April. Ahead of the release of the album they’ve released the first single from the album – Neon Madonna.
In case you missed hearing about The Crunch when their debut was released, the band itself may be new but the members are all experienced musicians- Sulo Karlsson (Diamond dogs), Mick Geggus (Cockney rejects), Dave Tregunna (Sham 69 / Lords of the new church), and Terry Chimes (The Clash). Since the release of the debut album they’ve been joined full time by Idde Schultz who had previously contributed her vocals during their live shows.
As with their first album this is catch pop-rock that mixes in a punk edge to it. It’s a great song – one that you can happily listen to again and again. Idde Schultz’s backing vocals work well with Sulo Karlsson’s harder lead vocals. A great song and one that promises great things for the new album.
The band have a pledge music campaign which runs till 9th April for fans interested in getting the album or one of the various exclusives they are offering http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/thecrunchbrandnewbrand
