Staffordshire based The Midwich Affair step away from their usual high energy covers gigs to record another attention grabbing original song as they hit hard and heavy with the utterly bonkers new single release of ‘Energy’, something we all need these days if we can afford it.
This tune to these ears it’s a three minute proto punk amalgam of Blondie crossed with Plastic Bertrand as they put their foot to the floor for a tarmac burning three minute adrenaline rush that picks you up and lets you go just long enough to catch your breath before you press repeat play.
The guitars chime and kerrang around seismic bass lines, all topped off by a sugar coated lead vocal and snappy snare drums.
