The Sunflower Jam, Rock & Roll Music Event, Royal Albert Hall, London

The latest update regarding 6th Sunflower Jam.

It gives us great pleasure to announce that Alice Cooper will be joining the line up of super musicians at the 6th Sunflower Jam, Rock & Roll Music Event on Sunday 16th September 2012 at the Royal Albert Hall, London.

The evening, hosted by Actor Jeremy Irons, will consist of many very special performances and collaborations from confirmed artists such as Bruce Dickinson, Ian Paice, Mark King, Alfie Boe, Brian May and Kerry Ellis, John Paul Jones and now the legendary Alice Cooper. All the artists will be performing some never before seen adaptations of their own classic songs and totally unique rock n roll songs in very special collaborations with other artists on the bill.

More acts that The Sunflower Jam can announce for the evening include Jerry Brown, Margo Buchanan, Micky Moody, Murray Gould, Nick Fyffe, Sandi Thom, Steve Balsamo, Temperance Movement, Uli Jon Roth and Wix Wickins.

Jacky Paice, wife of Ian Paice, Drummer from Deep Purple, set up the Sunflower Jam Charity in 2006 to help people treat Cancer within the UCLH. Now the charity raises acceptance of an integrated approach in medical treatment. By educating, supporting, informing and developing services around patient-centric care. By bringing together Doctors, Health Professionals, Scientists and Patients along side an array of musicians who not only perform but support the cause, we can create a wider network of support and raise awareness through our event.

The charity will work by supporting initiatives set up to bridge the gap between integrated, functional and conventional medicine with a natural approach to wellness for children, young people, adults and their families with a range of acute and chronic emotional, mental and physical conditions.

Founder Jacky Paice says, “As time has gone on, we have learnt so much about what can be done to help treat Cancer in a natural way. I am honored to be hosting my 6th annual event this year. Personally, this is the most important year for raising awareness and funds as the percentage of people being diagnosed with Cancer is rising.”

Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden said “Sunflower Jam is a great night out and a fabulous meeting of musical styles and personalities for a unique and very worthy cause.”

More artists will be announced over the coming weeks so watch this space for more details www.thesunflowerjam.com.

About The Sunflower Jam 2012

“This year’s Sunflower Jam will be committed to improving the treatment and care of patients with pancreatic cancer.”

The Sunflower Jam will use the proceeds of this year’s Jam to do original research on integrated approaches to pancreatic cancer and also produce an easily readable summary of promising treatments for patients with pancreatic cancer, which will include conventional medicine, lifestyle approaches including nutrition, complementary treatments such as immune Modulation Therapy and hyperthermia, treatments are beginning to look promising such as photodynamic therapy and the ways in which the mind can be harnessed to help fight this disease.

We have an opportunity at this year’s Sunflower Jam, to work with MUSTAFA B A DJAMGOZ, Professor of Cancer Biology at Imperial College London, who will head the research into these Non Toxic treatments. This is really the only way forward to help many many people. By getting these type of treatments recognised within the medical field, we hope these forms of treatment can be used as an alternative answer to fight Pancreatic Cancer.

By supporting this year’s Sunflower Jam, you will be helping to fight pancreatic cancer, help research new approaches and enable all patients and relatives with this form of cancer to get all the information they require”.

It goes without saying that research and integrated approaches will also apply to helping other forms of cancer.
