Thunder On The Left are set to release their debut single ‘Discord’ on the 11th August 2014.
The loud and raucous three piece formed in February of this year and have been announced to play their debut gig at the Artrocker New Blood Festival on 31st July upstairs at The Garage.
Debut single ‘Discord’ is a gain-fuelled fuzz sludge ride with harrowing vocals and massive drums echoing riffs from their peers like Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age.
No two songs are alike, as the band pushes the boundaries of song structures whilst never abandoning their Heavy-Rock sensibilities. ‘Survivor’ demonstrates a relentless punk stomper that borders on a Fu-Manchu groove inspired masterpiece.
A template for a soundscape of killer riffs, angular wonky Rock structures, a thunderous rhythm section and big hooky choruses was debated at length to form their signature sound. Lyrics compliment the sound with critiques on conformity, frustrations with society and toxic relationships.
Thunder On The Left’s debut performance will be Upstairs at The Garage on the 31st July.
